Feb 22, 2012 - This isn't plyometric training. Ballistic, maybe. But certainly not plyometric. Contact time with the ground is way too high. 200ms or less = Plyometric. 200ms and above = Ballistic. The key principal being to reduce the amortization phase of the stretch-shortening cycle, which is the period between eccentric (lengthening) and concentric (shortening) contraction. Having said that, there are some great exercises demonstrated within this video, which would most certainly improve explosive power.
